We had a great stay at this hotel. We arrived early in the evening and the man in the reception was very helpful and spoke English fluently. The room was very big and everything was fine. When we left very early in the morning the night receptionist helped us to store our luggage until TuiTrans picked it up.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 days in July 2025, the hotel was very clean with friendly staff. Location was slightly awkward in relation to where most of the sights are in Porto but you can access cheap Bolts/Ubers quite easily. The only issue I had is that every time I returned to my hotel room my keycard had stopped working, meaning several times a day I had to go down to reception to get it revalidated (the reception staff told me if the keycard is held near your phone for an extended period it would stop working??? I’ve never known this happen with keycards I’ve had from other hotels) this was frustrating as in the 4 days I was there I had a dozen or more trips to the reception desk to retaliate. The room was huge, clean with a comfortable bed and overall there wasn’t much to complain about. A good hotel that I would use again at some point.

HF Fenix is a very smart hotel. The rooms are very nice, clean & fresh. The staff are brilliant. All speak good English, as well as other languages, and are very friendly & accommodating. However, there are some not so good points. The beds are possibly the most rock-hard bed I've ever slept in! Granite would be more comfortable! I do not recommend having breakfast, not worth the money. €68 for 4 people is expensive for a bit of fruit & toast. There is also NO restaurant as well, which i think the hotel definitely should have. There is a bar that opens at 7pm, where you can order from a very limited menu, burger, chips, chicken nuggets, and that's about it. There are no proper tables to sit at as well. Shame, really, as this really lets down the hotel. The hotel is about 2km from the centre, easily walkable, or about €5 in an Uber. Overall, it's a good hotel, just let down by a few things, and a very uncomfortable bed!
