It was located up the hill with all rooms and the restaurant facing the city center. The night scene was good. There were both outdoor and indoor parking spaces. The staff assisted in carrying the luggage to the room first, while welcome drink and snacks were offered to the guests at the reception area, which was quite grand. The staff also led the way to the room and introduced their facilities and services during the walk. Although I booked a small room, the space was well enough. The view from the balcony was good, too. A coffee machine with different capsules, tea bags, and bottled water were placed in the room, which were all free of charge. Public hot spring was available. They also provided spa treatments. The service offered by the staff in the restaurant was excellent. They briefly explained the menu and actively helped to take pictures. Breads included in the breakfast set could be taken away as suggested. Other restaurants in the area needed to travel by driving or taxi because walking on the slope was an exercise.
Dated, but still nice amd comfortable. Not ideal for shopping being away from business district. However, provide a shuttle bus to the train station. For seasoned travelers looking for quietness and a healthy walk, l recommend this place
We stayed only one night with our small kids. Location is quite far from the center and some walk until the fist public transport stop. The welcome experience and overall service was dry and almost non existence which is a pity. It was hard to pull information from staff even though we spoke fluent Japanese. We had a large Tatami room with sunset view which was nice. The public bath in 3rd floor is quite old facility (as well as many other parts of the hotel). They seem to be renovating other parts of the hotel so hopefully there will be a better balance between old and new. Seems to be a popular venue for wedding ceremonies though. Breakfast was great, it was more western and very well balanced!
