Great location, slow service, decent vibes Holiday Beach Resort has a lot of promise, enjoyable, just not quite as refreshing as it could’ve been. The pool is nice and has a swim-up bar… but good luck getting a drink before your sunscreen wears off. The bartenders wear many hats—none of them say “mixologist.” Rooms are comfy but don’t plan on fully unpacking, storage space is minimal. The breakfast buffet was decent and had plenty of choices. Sadly, the rooftop pool and bar were closed the whole time, and one of the towers looks “under construction,” though we never saw a single hammer swing. Beach area is chill with lots of loungers, but service moves at a casual pace. Still, the area around the hotel is fun to explore at night, especially if you like a more relaxed, expat-friendly scene.
We stayed at Holiday Beach Hotel Danang for two nights during a recent trip to Vietnam, and overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few notable pros and cons. The location is absolutely prime—right across the street from My Khe Beach. You can literally walk to the sand in under a minute. The rooms were clean, with comfortable beds and a decent view if you're on the higher floors. The breakfast buffet had a good mix of Western and local Vietnamese options, and the spa on-site offered relaxing treatments at fair prices. Some of the facilities feel a bit dated, and during our stay, the rooftop pool area wasn’t as clean, functioning or inviting as expected. It would be a great view if roof top pool is working and funtional. While most of the staff were helpful and friendly, communication in English was a bit of a challenge at times, especially when asking for help with bookings or transport. Quyen and Ny are were welcoming and friendly. Hien is very nice and helpful. If you're looking for a budget-friendly beachfront hotel in Da Nang with a great location and decent amenities, this is a solid choice. Just don't expect luxury-level polish, and try to confirm if any renovations are happening during your stay.
We had a ten day stay at the Holiday Beach and while we enjoyed our overall stay, it could have been so much better. Sure the rooms are a bit dated so we’ll overlook that and we stayed in an ocean front room and it was a good size. We are not overly precious but there were a few too many negatives to overlook. First the positives * Great location near beach, nice views and amazing restaurants a short walk away * Well priced, (we paid the extra for oceanfront which was worth it) * Comfortable bed and pillows Now for the negatives * Housekeeping is limited to quick tidy up of bedsheets, no cleaning of sinks, dirty cups or attempt at vacuuming/sweeping etc. * Reception staff friendly, all other staff unfriendly and uncompromising, bordering on rude * Electricity unreliable, power went off three times during our stay and had to get engineer to fix * Only one power point in the room so power adapter with multiple usb ports useful * Construction site next door, they appear to do less during the day when it’s hot and work all night instead, it’s a high rise so probably finish around 2030, bring earplugs. * Noisy hallways
