I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Bristol - Filton, and I have to say the experience was absolutely top-notch. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and well looked after. A special shoutout to Charlie-Mae, who greeted me with such genuine warmth and professionalism at check-in. Adam was another standout - always approachable his friendly and professional attitude stood out - he went above and beyond to ensure everything was just right. And Josh - what a star! Equally helpful, his positive energy and efficiency really helped make the experience smooth and enjoyable. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable and perfectly located for my needs. Breakfast was fresh and well stocked, and the team worked hard to keep things running seamlessly even during busy times. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area - especially with such a great team making your stay even better. Thanks again, Charlie-Mae, Adam, Josh.
I stayed here on a Thursday evening for 1 night. Finding the place is fairly easy although it's on the corner of a busy Junction and currently (late June 2025) there are roadworks with traffic lights at the back on the main access road to the hotel. On exiting in a vehicle, you can turn left and exit onto the main road without going through the traffic lights near the college again. I arrived to check in at 4 pm. and got checked in very quickly. Check-in can be done via a screen or speaking to the reception team. The reception team was very friendly and extremely helpful as I was asking advice on the best option to get into the city. Breakfast in the morning was good, lots of choices, although it would have been nice to see more vegetarian choices (sausages, bacon, etc). The rooms were comfortable and clean and had everything i needed. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
We came to stay for a long weekend and even though it was in a great location, some things weren't great. Our room wasnt cleaned for 2 days even though we had put the sign on the door to indicate it could be done. and when we asked for a new toilet roll the receptionist seemed really put out and unfriendly. The bed was very uncomfortable as it was like sleeping on a slab of cement and teas and coffees not refilled. On the plus side the older lady who showed people to their breakfast tables in the morning was lovely and friendly and the housekeepers were very friendly when we walked past them in the morning. We have stayed at Holiday Inns before and sadly this one just didn't live up to the rest.
