Just got back after having an amazing 7 night stay at Cultural! Check in is available at their sister hotel Daina, which wasn’t a problem for us as it’s only a minute walk. The staff at the Daina were lovely and check in was efficient. We booked a double room with a balcony and were more than happy with our room. The room was clean and tidy and on days when we didn’t need housekeeping, we just put a ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door. I met one of the cleaners and she was very pleasant. We only ate breakfast here and honestly we could not fault it. Service was 10/10 and we didn’t have to wait long for breakfast, despite it at times being extremely busy. The location of the hotel was perfect, right in the middle of the square with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. There is also a market right outside every Wednesday which was lovely to walk around. We did hear a bit of noise from people in the square eating and from guests getting back late, but didn’t bother us. The rooftop pool was perfect for a quieter sunbathe. I emailed months prior to stating that it was my husband’s 30th birthday whilst we were staying and the hotel organised for Prosecco and a fruit platter. We enjoyed so much, we’re already looking at staying again next year!
Only ate here but great food and attentive friendly service. Can recommend the poached eggs, bacon, toast, coffee and ok for €9. Lovely spot on the square and air conditioned inside for a v hot day. Enjoy!
The worst “hotel” experience we’ve ever had. The place is more like a Hostel than a hotel. The positives: The staff are kind and friendly. The negatives: Checking in at a the sister hotel down the road. This should be made clear before making the booking, not just before you arrive. The rooms are small and characterless. Not the “cultural boutique” that is advertised. There is no way to show a “do not disturb” on your room door, so you may well return to your room to find it filled with staff/cleaners amongst your personal belongings/valuables. There is a safe, which is helpful, but l would advise keeping your valuables in this at all times as people could be in your room at anytime. THE NOISE! It is like the walls are made of paper. Absolutely impossible to sleep, you can hear EVERYTHING. Even the guests that are clearly trying to be quiet coming up to their rooms at night. Voices and footsteps echo through the building to such an extent that sometimes it seems like they are actually inside your room. Last night was the worst. After finally getting to sleep, some guests arrived with suitcases at about 4.30am. For thirty minutes the place was filled with voices, slamming doors, scraping chairs. We have one night left to stay at this place and we can’t wait to leave. After 3 days of very little sleep, it has been so hard to enjoy any time here. If we could have found any availability anywhere else, we would not have stay more than one night. If you want to enjoy your stay in Pollenca AVOID THIS HOTEL!
