The staff were very friendly and made an effort to speak some English, which I appreciated. The room was huge, and having a fireplace was a cool touch. But the living room felt bare, just a couch, recliner, and table in a massive space. It honestly reminded me of something I might’ve thrown together in college when I didn’t have much money. Functional, but not exactly cozy or well-designed. That said, the full kitchen was a huge plus—big fridge, microwave, plates, utensils—it really made the room feel like a full apartment. The bed was comfortable, and although there were a couple of items left behind from the previous guest (like a coin and a hairpin), it didn’t bother me too much. The bathroom had both a tub and a shower, which was a nice surprise. I didn’t get to try the pool, but I heard it had jets and looked nice. What really stood out was the gym access. While there’s no gym on-site, the hotel partners with a luxury gym just two blocks away, and it was honestly the best gym I’ve ever used at a hotel. Three floors, cycling, cardio, weights, and fitness classes. If fitness matters to you, then that alone is a good reason to go to this gym. I made a mistake and left my passport in my room and the hotel was nice enough to reach me on WhatsApp and help me get my passport back. I really appreciated that. Overall the stay didn’t feel “luxurious” but it had everything needed and more. That’s why I’m still giving it 5 stars.
Warning this hotel runs a scam. They will charge your credit card for things you do not agree to and then tell you they will take the charge off but never do. They appear and act high class all while stealing from you. They also attempt blackmailing you if you complain about the false charges. The hotel is run down. Everything is a late 90s construction and smell of a holiday inn in the 70s. Possible hidden cameras in rooms!
Couple things: we booked online with breakfast buffet, were promised to have VIP access with a complimentary drink - never experienced either of them. Booked it for the kids to have access a pool which was mentioned on the reservation, when we arrived we were told that there is no such pool just a SPA small pool which we have to pay per person to attend (we then we offered to go there complimentary, which we are thankful for but the pool was not the actual pool that would be a normal size). We also arrived early due to the flight being early in the morning and we were charged more than have of the nightly price for the early check in even though the room was available. The rooms are dirty (the carpets were stained, there were nuts under the beds etc) and the apartments lack basic stuff, - it is certainly not a 5 star hotel. Would give it 2.5 stars at the most. The breakfast buffet is one word- DISASTER apart from the fruit that they had. The restaurant staff were amazing though and the service from them was outstanding.
