We were disappointed with this booking. There was no where to get coffee in the morning as we are early risers. No microwave, no kettle no coffee maker. The staff were cold and uncaring. They directed us to a cafe for early morning coffee which wasn’t open. Dinner was a nice buffet but didn’t open til 8pm. There were no restaurants within walking distance so we had to wait til 8. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Last Saturday evening my wife and I, together with about 150 FREEMASONS people from ALL OVER SPAIN, attended a gala dinner, raising funds for the Olivaris charity foundation for children with cancer in this I say 2 star restaurant. Every man was dressed in gala suit and the ladies in long evening dress. I believe that NOBODY was happy to see plates with uncleaned prawns on the table and they had to clean themselves. For this event somebody in the kitchen should have done this. Then instead of the grilled sirloin steak, we were served with pork medallions, too over cooked and very dry. Let's not even mention the potato, and for the people whom ordered the fish dish. (Party member and self restaurant owner classified this meal as fooling the customers.) The fish was partly Uncooked. Most of the dinners went back to the kitchen. So did our table, but we wanted to take the meat with for our dog. This was not allowed but after a hefty discussion we could take it with us. This menu, so nicely printed, was a TOTAL DISASTER, including the very loud music. Next disaster, after the meal we went to the bar to have a drink, and relax, escaping the loud music. Only to find out that the bar was closed at 22.30 hours. I know that many people spend lots of time in organising this event and therefore I find it unacceptable that this restaurant served us with this rubbish. Therefore my warning to all organisations, think and check before you book this restaurant for a event. Don't expect me to be there. Mr. A.B, Coin. I have received the response from general manager, and now I'm even more upset as before. The response says that his kitchen team is of highest standards. So here we go. If serving uncleaned prawns, then there should also be cleaning towels provided. Printing a nice menu serving sirloin steak, but delivery overcooked pork medallions. Anyway, management knew that this was a charity gala dinner, which at the end brought 7000,00 euros to the cancer society for children with cancer. That the hotel is outdated and so on is not the dispute, but the food is, and that was unacceptable.

Reply to the owner: I certainly will not be back to this hotel! It was an experience I don't want to repeat! My comments: This is a 2-star hotel masquerading as a 4-star hotel. I stayed in this hotel because I could not find another available room in the town. I did not read the bad reviews, or I would never have stayed here. The room is very dated and not up to a 4 star standard. The curtains are torn, the desk chair looks like it has a urine stain, the shower is as small as an airplane bathroom, the room smelled musty, all the furniture is worn, there is no luggage rack for suitcases (just a ridulously large closet which should have been used for a shower), there is no view from the patio other than weeds in the garden, the room decor is dark and depressing, and the room could use a thorough cleaning. There is no coffee maker! There is one small TV for the extremely large suite without any English speaking channels... they are just unavailable. I have not even mentioned the worst part of the experience: check-in. We had a car to park in the garage, and I was told that we could take the elevator (lift, asensor) directly to the second floor. I was so optimistic about this convenience. When we got to the second floor, there was no sign for our room number. The signs were only for lower numbers. I left my husband with the luggage and set off to find the room. I found it 10 or 15 minutes later at the complete other side of this massive hotel. It would have been nice if the front desk person had explained upon check-in that there were 3 elevator banks, but the only one from the garage was at the opposite end of the hotel from our room! In addition, they need to fix the signs to the rooms because our room number was not listed when you came out of the garage elevator. This experience put this check-in as the worst so far on our trip! When I went back to the front desk to inquire about the elevators, he finally explained about the three elevators. He also had to show me where the parking elevator was in the lobby (through a glass door and down a set of stairs) as if I was expected to figure that out without a sign! More signs are really needed in this massive hotel! (Maybe a map of the hotel should be given out when you check-in!) I have not checked out yet, so I might have more updates. I have not tried the food, but based on the reviews, I think I'll pass. We walked to the town last night and it was a long walk mostly uphill. For the price we are paying this is sadly the worst hotel for both value and quality that we have encountered!
