Hotel Baia Imperiale

We have spent three days in this hotel in July and we loved its location. Perfect and easy walk down to the beach (white sand and very clear water). At the beach there are two beach restaurants / bars. The hotel has a very nice terrasse where you can eat your breakfast enjoying the view on the beach or enjoy a drink in the evening. Dogs are welcome in the rooms and the terrasses. There is shampoo, body milk and soap made with the local Elba mint. The people working at the hotel are all very friendly and welcoming.

Wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and helpful , I was feeling like they are my personal assistents. The service impeccable until the last second. The room was clean, upon our return from the beach the room was like new condition. The food exceeds expectations. Makes no sense to book a room without breakfast. Checkin was fast 5-10 mins and the personell was friendly. Best place for a holiday on the island.

This is not a 4 star hotel. Very disappointed and would not recommend. On arrival, we stood at the front desk for over 10 minutes waiting on someone to come. I had to walk over to a group of servers to request assistance. The room we were taken to looked like a motel. The walls were damaged and stained. It was musty and tiny. I was very uncomfortable. I requested to change room and was offered an upgrade…that I needed to pay for. The new room was better and closer to the photos that I booked from but by no means 4 stars. The AC in the new did not work and I asked staff twice to come look at it and they never did. There was leftover garage in the garbage bin. One of the waters in the minibar had already been opened. Dinner at the hotel was very very bad. It was edible but no flavour. First course pasta dish was bland. Veal roll was tough and flavourless. Bread was incredibly stale. Close to the beach, but no beach towels in the room. Pass on this hotel.
