Hotel Boka

Had the 'pleasure ' of spending a night here courtesy of Easyjet due to our flight home being cancelled. The hotel is brand new, on the 2nd floor of a shopping centre, which currently has no open shops.... Our room was very clean and well appointed, nice bathroom with big shower. It's very close to Tivat airport, so do bear this in mind if you don't like to be woken early by planes. Staff did a great job of accommodating a bus full of disgruntled Easyjet passengers. Walking out to get to the nearby restaurants was not a nice experience as the roads are being worked on, so no pavements and lots of big holes. Buffet breakfast was good.

Rooms are clean and spacious. The women at the reception are unfriendly and unwilling to assist. They’ve done quite a bit of errors with their bookkeeping. Made us all pay for beverages we have clearly not taken from the mini-bar. The breakfast is very limited. And the coffee is bad. Additionally the staff is rude too. Location is also bad, as it is almost 45min from the beach and in the middle of nowhere. Clearly not for vacation. Otherwise to recommend. The staff is fluent in english.

The only good thing about this hotel is the actual room. Now let me tell you why it is a nightmare to book here: 1. The location is a disaster. It is a construction site. There are no nearby restaurants where you can have any meal without the risk of getting poisoned. To access the hotel, you need to walk through an abandoned mall then take the elevator. Feels like a scary movie. 2. Customer service is a joke. Not sure about the positive reviews left here. We had booked a room for 2 people + extra bed. Then we messaged them and told them we will be only 2 because we decided to book another room. Guess what? They still charged us for that 3rd person. The 2 rooms are identical both have the sofa bed but one is 100 euros more expensive. Mind you, the second room which is cheaper was booked weeks later. 3. Although they suggested they would help us with taxis, they didn’t once we asked them to. They said the car ride is short (5 mins), so better to go walking (29 mins) to Cable Car. On the highway… 4. The buffet is a joke. If I invite 3 people over to my tiny apartment I would have more food. Seriously.. 5. Value for money: pay $100 extra and get a room in a hotel in Tivat. Anyway lesson learned 👍
