Hotel Boutique Quinta Camacho

Lovely small hotel in Chapinero, one of the best areas of Bogotá. The staff is really friendly, caring and attentive. They made us feel looked after and taken care of - including offering to wait with us for a taxi that took too long! Breakfast was good and fresh too.

Rooms are well sized with good showers. The walls of the hotel are very thin and our room overlooked the breakfast room so was quite noisy. Take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. The hotel is a couple of blocks away from the main part of Chapinero where there are nice restaurants and bars. 15 mins walk to the hippie park. We had arranged a pick up from the airport with the hotel but it didn't turn up, but taxis were cheaper and very easy to get anyway. We arrived at 3am in the morning and were able to get our room early, although we weren't told until next day this would be an additional charge of 50%of the nightly rate, which later became us taxes plus additional breakfast charge. We were happy to pay this but were disappointed with the communication of the charges, so something worth thinking about in advance if you're arriving early.

Room was fine, no fridge or way to get hot water. Our laundry was $33 USD, over 5 times more than we have paid anywhere in South America. We drank a water bottle in our room which was a big mistake as we thought it was included, and then upon checkout, we were accused of eating a Snickers bar, which we did not. We never saw any Snickers (or any candy or food) in our room. Of course we paid for the water we drank ($5 USD) Breakfast was fine. Location was nice, all staff was kind & friendly. ** edited to add in response to the below-We never had or saw any Gatorade at the hotel. Also, I DID reach out during my stay to say that the laundry was very expensive (via WhatsApp) & was simply told that the prices were posted.
