Lovely old mansion, with large staircase and fireplace, beautiful garden and peacocks! Rooms with antique furniture, coffee and breakfast were very good! ☕️ And the staff are really friendly, also there’s a possibility of late check-in.

Beautiful place, inside and out, has great potential. However: - service could be improved along with some room, bathroom improvement. Visited out of season, the hotel was defenitly not a 4 star, - terribly understaffed, room wasn't clean, lots of dust and spiderweb even when we specifically asked to prepare it, - breakfast was poor quality and never fresh, for those who are not early birds, there are only leftovers, breakfast table is not refilled, - hair dryer in the bathroom was too weak, even for short hair, so better bring your own, no shampoo or shower soap/gel, only hand soap. On the bright side, the hotel decor is stunning along with amazing garden that is being taken care of, cozy fireplace in the lobby perfect for spending winter afternoons with tea or coffee. Restaurant food was also good quality with not ordinary dishes. Overall we had a great time, the beauty of the place made us forget about its disadvantages and the staff apologized with a bottle of wine when we were leaving, a nice gesture.

Very disappointing. The hotel could be an amazing experience. It has a beautiful park with a lake, the interior in the large living room on the ground floor could be the scene of a movie and the bar is beautiful. But that's where it ends. We booked two single rooms. The beds for a single room shown online were double beds, in reality you get two tiny and squeaky single beds that are uncomfortable. The WIFI is mostly non-existent - pops up for some minutes and then fades away again. Yes, this is an old building but it is 2024 and I have stayed in old castles with the thickest walls and excellent wifi. This should be a given considering some people have to work while traveling. They tried to change my room to somewhere with a better signal but it actually was as bad and the next try was better but close to where a wedding party was to take place. The bathroom is dark and completely outdated. Again, yes an old building but if you wanna be a 4 star hotel, there should be light and you should feel comfortable in the bathroom. Tried plugging in my smartphone for charging, found a lot of dust behind my bed. Sadly, I will not recommend this place. Breakfast day 1: had to chose the evening before as there were not enough guests for a buffet, my stepdad's bread rolls were completely dry. I opted for a healthy breakfast - the porridge had tons of sugar and half of the fruit weren't ripe yet. Breakfast on day 2 was buffet and much better. A good range of things. I ordered a Hugo Spritz from the bar which I only drank some sips of - it was so much syrup, it was crazy. No housekeeping took place yesterday or today. I simply cannot fathom how bad this experience is. Today, water is coming into my stepdad's room through the leaking roof and the lift is not working and the stairs are blocked by a DJ pult. We were told there would be a wedding but not that this meant we are confined to our rooms.
