A hotel that successfully presents a well-balanced blend of modern and traditional ambiance. From the lobby, reception, and café to the guest rooms, the warm atmosphere created by wooden materials is consistently showcased. The sense of hospitality is also well delivered through the quality of the breakfast menu and the friendliness of the entire staff.
Hotel Chanti Semarang deserves a 5-star review! Great location with easy access to the city’s attractions, friendly and attentive staff, and clean, comfortable rooms with a modern touch. The breakfast selection is excellent with various local and international options. One odd feature: the lobby entrance is from the basement, which feels a bit unusual. Parking space is also really compact. But overall, amazing value for the quality—truly a fantastic stay!
Pros: - Room was clean - front desk staff and porters were all Friendly and welcoming. Cons: - dress code at the breakfast buffet only applies to some guests but not others. I was asked to cover up my sleeveless blouse (I wore tailored pants to go with it, smart casual on a 33C day). - came back with a shirt over my blouse and sat down to see other guests wearing slippers and pyjamas allowed at the breakfast buffet. - spoke to the manager on duty, Budi, he apologized and said that he will provide training for his staff. No other solutions offered to a guest who has been blatantly discriminated against. My husband booked this hotel as we had great experience at Tentrem hotel in Yogyakarta, and Chanti is managed by Tentrem. However, my experience is by far the worse in my many travel across 23 countries around the world. Unfairly treated guest from room 702.
