Hotel Cádiz Paseo del Mar Affiliated by Meliá

My family and I stayed here during a family emergency, on account of the proximity to the hospital. These people were so kind, patient and good to us, even when I was dramatic and crazy, everyone there made us feel calm and loved - they probably have experience w guests who are also going to the hospital. The rooms are clean, modern, and the ones facing the ocean have a breathtaking view! The breakfast is also fantastic and the staff there is also kind and patient. They offer towels for the beach and are close to La Marea and other great places to eat and drink.

We stayed at Cádiz Paseo del Mar in July 2025. The hotel is right on the beach and close to many restaurants. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, although the pillows were quite hard and the rooms a bit noisy. The staff, however, was very friendly and helpful, which made the stay much better.

I was initially drawn to this hotel because of its great location and the appealing photos online. I have also really enjoyed Melia hotels in the past. Unfortunately, this hotel did not match the online representation or the Melia reputation. I was placed in a eastern-facing room, which was very dark. If you stay here, make sure to get a western-facing room. My first room had a strong smell of smoke and I was moved to another room, but it also had a noticeable smoke odor. The hotels only response was that it did not permit smoking. Ultimately, I decided to leave without staying the night. The hotel made no attempt to make things right, not even offering a partial refund. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this hotel.
