Hotel De Hallen

Funky hotel in an old industrial building. Rooms are excellent, comfortable. DeLuxe rooms don't get much natural light as they are inside the building and have windows only out into the interior. But the shades and soundproofing are excellent. Breakfast is pretty nice, and we got a complimentary drink each from the bar. Lots of sitting spaces around the building, and unusual art objects. About a 20 minute walk to the main tourist areas. Not many good restaurants in the immediate area. But there is a food market right next door.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is located in a quiet location, but is still near the tram so you can easily get to anywhere in the city. The Food Hallen next to the hotel has multiple different dining options, making it a great spot for dinner. The rooms were clean upon arrival and the bed was comfortable. Front desk service was fantastic and they were very helpful giving restaurant and excursion recommendations. We would definitely stay again!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms are fairly basic but well-appointed, but the bathrooms were really generous- great to get a bath and separate shower! The social areas downstairs are stylishly decorated, but I would say the bar offer could do with improving with some better cocktails- we asked for a few things (on their menu) and couldn’t have them because they didn’t have one or some of the ingredients which was a shame. There’s a terrace outside that gets the sun which is great but could do with a bit of attention. The massive bonus to this place is that it backs directly onto a food hall so you’ve got loads of really great food right on your doorstep! Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was good too!
