Hotel De L Univers

Perfect for a stopover on our drive to the UK! Many thanks to the entire team for the warm welcome, beautiful room and delicious dinner. Special mention to our server at the restaurant for his very professional service! It was great to be able to park in the courtyard, check into our beautiful room and enjoy a lovely meal without having to go out of the hotel. There was also a handsome bar area. We will be back!

Room: If you are facing the courtyard (not sure how many rooms do) it can be quite bright in the room so ask for a room elsewhere if this will affect you. Bed was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a little dated but everything was clean and functioned. Service: Quite a hasty check in (I did arrive late) but the staff were polite and friendly. Location: Excellent location in a quiet area of Arras, close to the motorway that goes both to Paris and to Calais, perfect for an overnight stop. Breakfast: Great value, plenty on offer and lots of tables to sit at.

A good hotel to stay at in Arras. We booked last minute so there were no parking spaces at the hotel left, but the friendly receptionist told us where we could park close by for free, which was about a 10 minute walk. The interior is a little old and some of the carpets in public areas were a little thread bare. When we got to our room it was pretty cold and as we had to go and re park the car we asked the staff to turn the radiators on for us while we were away, which they did. The bar was well stocked, even if service was a little slow. Good night sleep in a quiet location. Breakfast was plentiful, a help yourself buffet which was replenished regularly a varied mix of hot and cold options. I would recommend Hôtel de l'Univers for an overnight stay in Arras, which itself is a beautiful city.
