This is a cool experience to stay at a place made entirely of salt, including the furniture. The water was joyfully hot. There are nice amenities: game room, bar, sitting area with burinf fires. The restaurant was a disappointment....not horrible, not great.

This place is definitely overpriced. We paid about $100 per person for the hotel room and the shower ran out of hot water at 10:30 pm. Definitely not the quality I was expecting. What's more, the hotel scammed us to book a taxi to the airport, charging $17 US dollars per person. We managed to get a taxi from our tour agency for $20 per CAR!! They also lied about not accepting credit cards on site (they do!) and made us pay for the taxi beforehand. Turned out the taxi fee was non refundable 🙂 but the amount could be deducted from what we spent on the hotel amenities. I'd suggest don't book anything with them in advance. Some good things about this hotel - the view was nice. The room was clean and warm. The lounges were cute. The bar had nice drinks. But for the price, it's not worth it.

Shame that the hotel prefers to rip off customers instead of building lasting relationships all in the name of quick cash. Hotel doesn’t reply to emails or calls, then pretends to have never received any communication, resulting in refusal to compensate cancelled room. In our case it was a death of a family member. It would be common decency to accept a cancellation. Even more so, making excuses and sending guests in loopholes just to avoid taking responsibility. Hotel has a huge potential as the location is fantastic, rooms are beautiful. However, there is no ventilation in the bathrooms so after shower prepare to sit in steam room for the rest of your stay. Blanket on the bed (which was supposed to be white) was so old and dirty that it was in brown color. Same goes for bathroom towels. If you charge such a premium, then have the decency to provide clean bed linens and towels. Also very cheap move of them to provide only one small bottle of water per guest per stay. (Especially given that the hotel is located in dry area in high altitude where hydration is key not to get sick.) Buffet dinner was very good- plenty of fresh vegetables and salad.
