Hotel Dua

Located next to Kaohsiung metro station (exit. 6), easy got to main attractions and airport. We liked the stylish design of the hotel, spacious and comfortable room. The rooftop bar was plus, we had the chilled time during our stay.

The hotel itself was fine and the location was great. Unfortunately the most basic expectations were not met; the wifi in the room was completely unusable. - I noted it to front desk after checking. On return from dinner there was a letter noting repair was complete. WiFi still unable to load basic email and google searches. Noted to front desk again. - the next day the staff came twice to confirm the issue and repaired again. An hour later the issue recurs. - I ended up connecting to the wifi from room next-door, which was a stable connection, except when they leave their room, it shuts down. - the next day on checkout the manager noted that he was aware of my situation, and apologizes but they made every effort to remedy it. I noted that it wasn’t the effort that mattered, but the end result was the issue. Throughout the process all communication from the hotel was reactive, and frankly useless. There was no offer to exchange the room, compensate with a drink coupon, or whatever. Hopefully management realizes the futility of efforts, and improves their service. Until then I don’t recommend anyone to stay here.
