Hotel Grand

Nothing to complain about, the room was clean and very spacious, with a large bath, kettle, tea and coffee, mini fridge. Breakfast good, with reasonable selection of things to eat. Staff was friendly and professional. The hotel is located in a neo-baroque style building dating from the late XIX century. It is situated right next to the old town so it is a very convenient place to explore old and new town.

A very special charming this hotel does have. Somehow dark, somehow grand, best times have been in the past. But still somehow fascinating. See pictures. I have had a room under the roof, which led the room appear and feel smaller, as it was. Unfortunately 2 separate beds, a little too small for me, to feel comfortable, when sleeping. The pillow too big and high for me. A truly bad point was the desk. No desk lamp, what made it hard to work after sundown. The safe was small. Even not A4 size. No space to lock the laptop 14". The breakfast was OK. Expect the juice. I would say water with fruit taste. Not nice! Without the excellent and very friendly and supportive front desk service, I would have given 3 Stars only. But they made it!
