You cannot get a better located hotel than Hotel Granvia Osaka. It is located IN the JR Osaka station. The whole Osaka-Umeda area is walkable from this hotel. If you want to take day trip to Kyoto, just go downstairs and hop on the train and you'll be there in 30mins. The room is the regular Japanese size - small but clean and cozy. Service is great. Highly recommend.
The room was a bit tight and had some coffee or black marks on the wall, but overall still functional. The breakfast was great with plenty of options. Great staff. The best part is the location, right on top of major shopping centers. It’s the perfect place to stay at the end of your trip to get all your shopping done in one day. They have everything you could imagine just steps away!
Good room, but do not use their laundry service. They charge per item instead of having laundry machines like other hotels and are super wasteful with it. Every item had a plastic wrapper which is extremely unnecessary and tedious, making it difficult to unwrap and leaving you with a bunch of plastic. If I had known that they were charging per item (priced very expensive) and put so much plastic on them I wouldn't have used it at all.
