Hotel Hacienda VIP

Would give it extra stars if I could. The location was perfect - walking distance from major attractions. The hacienda gives you that colonial feel and rooms were spacious and clean. However, what was really extraordinary was the attention to detail by the staff, specifically Isaac and Alfref. They really made us feel at home, got to know us all by name (we were a group of 8) and helped coordinate tours we wanted to take. Will definitely be returning!

Everything about this Hacienda turned Hotel was stellar. It was quiet and peaceful, with tons of historic character, while still only a few blocks from some of the main areas and restaurants in Merida. The rooms are clean and spacious, with air con and wifi. The hotel bar and restaurant was only open at certain times, which meant that nothing too "rowdy" happened in the evenings and you could really wind-down after a long day of travel or exploration. The menu is limited but delish - the margaritas are freshly made with love and the huevos montulenos at breakfast are amazing. Plenty of towels in the room as well as by the pool areas (of which there are 3)! There is free parking in a gated garage about a block away - very convenient and safe. Most importantly, the staff at Hotel Hacienda was superb. Every morning, afternoon, and evening we were greeted with smiles and well wishes. When we asked questions, no one blinked an eye at helping us. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.

Great location and a nice enough hotel. It's clean and the staff are helpful. Water is only warm at times not hot and the bed is very hard. It's located nest to a hostel that can be quite loud until 2300. The breakfast is pretty good and the grounds are nice. Adding double glazing for noise, fixing the hot water and upgrading the bed would make this place a gem.
