Hotel Josefine

We had a wonderful experience here at Hotel Josefine. Every member of staff was a joy to deal with. The breakfast was a lovely experience, with genuine and friendly breakfast manager making it all the better. As it was very warm and the greatest asset was the perfectly silent air-conditioning - it was set at 23 degrees when we arrived, and we didn't touch it, providing an incredibly comfortable escape from the 34 degree heat in the city. It was really quiet overnight, the bed was very comfortable so we slept soundly. The room was an unusual set up where you first entered the tiled bathroom, with sliding door screen for the toilet and shower. Then into the area with the bed. We chose to stay here for the old world and quirky vibe so the bathroom set up just added to this uniqueness. The area is great for shopping high street brands, the Raimund Theatre is just a short walk away and the Aquarium and Natural History museum are also very close. I also really liked the coffee machine set up in the music room. Delicious complimentary coffee in a lovely environment.

A wonderful experience end to end: It really feels like stepping into a different world, the colors, the ambiente, the rooms, the decorations, the speakeasy bar. Everything top. We wanted to take our engagement photos in the hotel, since we loved the place, and the hotel staff was so kind supporting us every step. We'll be coming back to Hotel Josefine very soon! Also, the brunch was excellent, served in the speakeasy bar until noon. Also even though in a central location, our room was very quiet, and we had a great AC and fresh air

We stayed 4 nights in the Josefine for a city break and had an amazing time. The rooms are lovely and the smart design and usage of space makes it feel bigger than it is. The beds were very comfy and it was extremely quiet. The location is great, out of the main tourist part but the metro station is a three minute walk away and in the evening we stayed mostly local, because it offered so many lovely restaurants and bars. The bar in the hotel was usually our nightcap destination for some great cocktails. The breakfast was always a highlight of our day, although we usually needed a little walk afterwards because it was too tasty to leave anything behind. A special shout out belongs to the front desk. We had a little misunderstanding for Sunday brunch. Mistakes can happen but how the front desk handled it was exemplary. They didn't provide excuses but solutions. That's how you feel valued as a guest and that's what sticks in my memory. Overall I can only recommend it and we're looking forward to our next stay!
