Hotel Karpos

After reading the reviews, we chose this hotel anyways since we were only staying for one night. However the place surprised us! We were greeted by a friendly staff at the check-in counter and a clean reception area. After the check-in we were taken to our room which was an upgrade from double room to an apartment. The room was clean, well stocked bathroom, comfy beds and working air conditioner. The included breakfast was fresh and tasty. You can tell that the hotel has some maintenance done and that it takes feedback seriously. We also used the fitness room, 👍.

It's a disgraceful hotel. It's not clean, it's an old hotel, it has a terrible smell. There are no lights in the rooms, and the air conditioning doesn't work. I told the receptionist that the air conditioning was broken and the lights weren't working. They argued with me saying it wasn't broken. I told them to come and turn it on, but when I couldn't turn it on, they couldn't turn it on when I came to the room. They said it was broken as if I hadn't told them. When I made the reservation, I asked for a room upstairs, and even though I paid for it, they gave me a room downstairs. It was as if they were kidding me. They told me they had given the room I had booked to someone else. I asked them to call the manager, but the manager said nothing would happen and I would stay in the room. I specifically asked for the room I had booked. It was full today and will be available tomorrow. We'll take you there. Stay in your own room today. I said okay. Let's go one evening. When I went tomorrow morning, when I asked for the room, it wasn't available. They said there were no other rooms. They said they could give it to me. They had put yesterday's leftovers in the breakfast. Everything was dry, their communication was terrible. I wouldn't recommend going unless you want to waste your money.

Hotel stinks by the entrance, inside the rooms, in the restaurant, corridors.... There were a group trying to check in and guest service people was arguing and yelling to them in front of us. That was a ridiculous and we were so sorry for those people. Room wasnt clean and ready, there were trash in the bin and hairs in the bathroom,missing towels.... Restaurant was full during breakfast and we had to wait for the kids to have a table. After kids gone, rude and nasty behavior dining staff was yelling all guests where they can sit or not... It was unbelievable to see a hotel management allows its staff to treat this way when they are full house. Buffet was trashed by kids, no coffee, no food and the staff was chatting at the corner and having fun instead of replenish the buffet for other guests. Ridiculous place to stay
