the grounds are so beautiful. the mineral springs are the real deal , we had a few great soaks after dinner. the hotel staff is wonderful and so helpful - Long picked us up from the airport (and waited 2 hours in the rain, like a champ), and the front desk staff was very accommodating whenever we needed something. Breakfast was super tasty too, I looked forward to it every morning. The rooms are charming, bed was comfortable, air conditioner and fans worked great. A couple of geckos stopped by in our room at night to say hey. All in all, a great experience. I would happily return!
My family if 4 (including two teen boys) stayed for two nights. This was centrally located to all things in the Arenal area. The room had two full size (I think they were full. Seemed more “cozy” than a queen, but don’t quote me on that) beds and one twin which was nice so the boys didn’t have to share. The grounds are very well kept and we saw so much wildlife on the property including a sloth! In the mornings the mountain was clearly visible from our front porch. Breakfast was the best of any hotel breakfast we stayed at (we stayed in 4 hotels). The restaurant on site had good options for dinner and was reasonably priced. The hot springs get drained every day and new water pumped in from the thermal springs at 9:00. Maybe that’s why another commenter said they were closed. It was so nice to have hot springs on site to enjoy at the end of the day. We drove by some of the other places that advertise hot springs and they were a zoo. I was grateful to have found this place!
The kokoro landscape grounds are beautiful. Its a small quiet resort not crowded that needs better up keep. You can tell it has seen better days. The hot springs and pools are better at the other area resorts. Buy a day pass to los Lagos resort nearby. Breakfast was fine. Rooms are large but need maintenance. TV never had a clear reception and had a few Spanish channels. Location was great for area activities.
