Hotel Las Américas

Free WiFi is rather unstable. The staff made sure there was plenty of coffee and helped me with my medication and kept my room clean and organized. It is ok for what it is, and the included breakfast was really good.

Comfortable Hotel located in Avenida Las Americas, closed to the airport about 10 minutes driving. I give 4 stars because even though it is in a great location, close to popular stores, mall and most likely the most important avenue in Guatemala City, inside it feels that it needs to get updated. It’s comfortable, clean, nice views of the city from north side room, the elevator has clear view of the city going up or down. Hotel offers many amenities, casino, event salons, breakfast included which it is a kind of buffet, restaurant it is cozy and with live music on weekends. The amenity I like the most was to be transported to the airport with one of their minivans. The price was fair to me $90.00 dollars the night with breakfast included and airport transportation. Yes, I would come back.

This hotel is “fine”. No major problems, but it’s rather run down. Right next to the airport and the windows are not really sound proof! You can hear planes coming and going all the time. I had a gorgeous view of the volcanos behind the airport, however. The spa was mediocre, I got a massage and I could tell the lady was not really a well-trained masseuse. My second night and morning there was no hot water!!! The room was clean and simple. The food was good but nothing spectacular.
