Hotel Las Dunas

This hotel is so cute. Flowers and nature all around the hotel. It looks like an European village. We enjoyed our room view to the nature. We got to see chickens and all types of birds. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is outside with a variety of foods for you to pick.

We stayed in the beautiful five bedroom Villa with private pool at Las Dunas Resort in Ica. It was the perfect set up for our family vacation. We loved it! The hotel is in a magical location and its facilities have been improved significantly since the last time we stayed there several years ago. Management has thought of everything to make one’s stay fun, relaxing and enjoyable. Our grandkids especially liked the pool slides, the playground, the horses and the chickens with their chicks. And we all thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and beverage options included in our package. Every single staff member we dealt with was cheerful and courteous: the front desk staff, the bellboys, housekeeping and room service, restaurant and bar servers, pool side entertainers, and even the nurse, who attended to my husband and did not charge for the medical assistance. It is apparent the organization values a culture of service excellence, which is second to none! We made very special memories at Las Dunas. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

I stayed in Las Dunas 3 times, the first 2 times were in 2018 and 2020 and those were great experiences. However, my latest stay was the worst hotel experience I’ve had. Our group stayed in rooms 224 and 225. - Upon check-in, one of the rooms had toenail clippings on the floor. Upon telling the front desk the response was “We’ll send someone to take a look”. No apology - The AC in room 225 was rattling and the noise was too much that it couldn't be used and had to opt to keep the windows open which isnt ideal when flys/insects can get in - At lunch one of our party ordered the cheese and meat platter at the bar, what we got was a platter of day-old meat and cheese, we sent it back - During the same lunch one of the staff members was mopping the floor under our table and banging off our chairs, leaving a disinfectant smell… while we were eating - The audio for the television box (not the tv itself) in 224 was distorted, unusable - The hotel itself was quite dirty on the outside walls, likely due to the rain/dust, but it wouldn't have required much effort to clean. That said, some of the staff were fantastic and very helpful. I dont know whats happened to Las Dunas but I couldn’t stay here again.
