The hotel is absolutely beautiful — spotless, with a stunning location. You can walk everywhere, no need for a car. The staff is truly exceptional, incredibly kind. From the moment you arrive, everything feels special. In general, places like San Miguel de Allende tend to charge extra for the location and breakfast, since eating out can be quite expensive. So it’s common to choose a hotel with breakfast included to save money on meals and transportation like Uber or taxis. That said, the breakfast here was one of the simplest I’ve had, and honestly, the coffee was the saddest I had in San Miguel. The cream seemed like the cheapest kind — probably 2% or worse, I’m not sure. Just because of that, I wouldn’t return to this hotel, or at least I wouldn’t recommend paying for the breakfast — chances are you won’t even use it. But if breakfast isn’t important to you, I absolutely recommend this hotel. It’s classic, elegant, has a jacuzzi, massages, gorgeous rooms, and the staff is amazing — I loved every one of them. And the location? Pure gold.
Not sure why Hotel Madi is not higher rated…Our experience was great! Very clean, the rooms were lovely, comfy beds, and a beautiful terrace on the roof, with amble space for a morning swim, an afternoon sunbathe or an evening drink. Great location too. Only comments I would have regarding any improvements would be the temperature of the pool was rather warm, and the breakfast, although included, was quite basic and could be improved, but apart from that, we loved it! Rooms, service and location are excellent for a quick trip to San Miguel. The jacuzzi in a room was amazing and definitely worth getting the upgrade. The breakfast has some good food only wish they had more options with meat. If you are driving please know that San Miguel is hard to get a parking place so the hotel will provide valet parking which makes it so much easier. The location is the best to walk around town and enjoy all the different places to visit and they are all walking distance from the hotel.
