The grounds of this hotel are absolutely stunning - truly like nothing we’ve experienced elsewhere. The so-called “garden” is more like a tropical jungle, with winding paths through exotic plants that make every stroll feel like an adventure. The walk to the private beach is an absolute delight and the view from our room was spectacular. Unfortunately, that’s where the magic ends. From there on, things take a sharp turn into the strange and disappointing. Our room looked fine at first glance, but it clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned in a while. There were loose hairs on the bed and decorative cushions, and the bed throw and curtains were dotted with mysterious stains that suggested they’d been left unwashed for months, possibly years. The service, frankly, was so baffling it became unintentionally comedic. We stood at the reception desk for nearly 10 minutes before anyone appeared. When someone finally did, they said nothing. No greeting, no apology, not even a mildly surprised “oh, sorry to keep you.” Just silence, as if this were all perfectly normal. And then came the breakfast. A true exercise in chaos theory. Dishes constantly ran out, staff wandered past empty trays without so much as a glance, and the more senior the staff member, the less they appeared to care. No menus, no clean tablecloths, forgotten orders, and a 20-minute queue just to request a bit of butter. The younger staff made a bit of an effort, but clearly hadn’t been trained. The food itself was underwhelming, but it was the overall attitude that really stood out: a baffling indifference that made us wonder whether the hotel was part of some elaborate social experiment. To top it off, the person who checked us out didn’t even ask how our stay was. Not a word. It was the perfect ending to a thoroughly bizarre experience.
This hotel has potential to be very good but could do with £1M being spent on it, maybe then the room rate could be justified. Rooms are run down and its more like a nursing home. Breakfast is not good, in fact from the three nights we stayed we didn't go to breakfast the other two mornings as it was that poor. Come on guys it's not difficult to make scrambled egg but you failed badly. The bar on the other hand is very cosy, pretty good service had there, good job, nice atmosphere. The grounds. Wow, totally amazing with a huge range of trees, shrubs, flowers, you name it and it's a pretty cool walk down to the beach and back. Parking is very good. Corridors, spiders all over and again carpets need replacing. We had 4 rooms and my opinion is based on all of these rooms. Personally I wouldn't stay again unless it was revamped.
Honestly... It's not worth a star... Chaos for breakfast, chaos for dinner. No idea how it's still going. Whoever is responsible for this operation.. Leave!!! 😂.. Simply learn how it's done!! Just go to a few hotels.. Look!!! Watch!!! Repeat!! Simple!!! The hotel/location is great.. Whoever is running this place will drive it into the ground sadly:(. Honest and sincere review.
