Hotel Palacio de Doña Beatriz

This place was AMAZING! The nicest, and also our favorite, stay of our entire trip, and the price was so good and included breakfast. All of the staff were beyond friendly and kind and always available. Laundry service on site, super clean rooms, pool, jacuzzi bath. Flowering vines hanging down the outdoor breakfast area. It was just a really lovely oasis. Kind of a pain to go back and forth past the guards every time you go into town (it’s in a gated community), but you’re certainly safe here. The walk into town is around 15 minutes, so you’re slightly out of the way but it was just really nice and relaxing.

Genuine hidden gem! Beautiful staff, all with excellent English and super attentive and friendly. The rooms have tall vaulted ceilings, large 4 posted king size beds, walk in robes and a generous sized bathroom. The hotel is a small humble size and feels very relaxed and was super quiet. The pool is in great condition and a lovely temp. Strong wifi, free supplied water, and the included breakfast options are all fantastic. Although it is a bit of a walk from the centre of town, it’s a safe and secure walk as it sits within a gated security complex.

What a fabulous place! We are checking out today to go to Lake Atitlan and are sad to be leaving. Room 1 is huge, is very well equipped and comfortable and has a heavenly bed, we slept so well. There is a good selection for breakfast and the staff are really friendly and accommodating. The pool area is great to spend a couple of hours relaxing and swimming (the water is cold) We also loved the rooftop for the beautiful views. The location is great for the peace and tranquility (no noise from the traffic as you would get in the city centre) but the trade-off is a 15 minute walk into the centre each way. We enjoyed the exercise however. Overall excellent value for money and we would definitely come back.
