Great accommodation. Quiet and surrounded by nature. Plenty of areas where to relax, including the swimming pool and courtyard. Rooms were big and clean. You can book lots of activities and excursions while staying there, which are organised very professionally. There is a good restaurant and even a small shop with local produce and pottery. The staff and owners took great care of us and our children, and accommodated all our request. We can't wait to be back soon!
The ecolodge is an incredible place to stay while visiting Ouarzazate. It is a peaceful oasis just before the desert, with a stunning garden, nice pool area, great Berber-style tent to sleep in and excellent food. Adel and the staff were exceptionally nice and helpful, even arranging us to go on several day trips from the lodge. The restaurant is amazing with its food both in quality and quantity for just 15euros. I really look forward to coming back once the weather is warmer to enjoy the pool!
We were so excited about this lodging but it was so out of the way we weren't sure if we were ever going to arrive. Once we did we were welcomed with exuberant smiles and quickly shown to our room. The host also explained everything very quickly. Because of that there was a misunderstanding about our dinner reservation. I had confirmed, or so I thought, but when we sat down at a table the exuberantly smiling host became cold and snobby. We said we'd go eat somewhere in town but he came back to us and made something up about our being satisfied customers blah blah blah saying we could stay if we wanted so we did (because we didn't want to go back out on the gravel road to nowhere). The food was sadly mediocre and our excitement quickly faded with the sunset. At checkout we didn't have enough dirhams so they wanted to charge our credit card the same rate in euros even though we said it wasn't the same rate and we'd be paying more. The guy was unfazed. We finally managed to get enough dirhams together to check out and left disappointed in the Jekyll and Hyde service. They themselves need a vacation. Don't think I'd go out of my way again to stay there.
