We had a wonderful stay at Riu Baobab, Senegal. Everything about the resort is truly impressive — the atmosphere is vibrant, the property is beautifully maintained, and there are so many games and activities for all age groups. The staff is warm and helpful, and the overall vibe is incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. The resort has three beautiful pools, each offering a different vibe — whether you want to relax, have fun with family, or enjoy a quieter swim. On top of that, the private beach access is a fantastic bonus. It’s peaceful, and perfect for long walks or just soaking in the sun. There’s also a wide variety of food, especially for non-vegetarians, with multiple cuisines and great presentation. However, as vegetarians and especially as Indian travelers we did feel limited when it came to vegetarian options. The variety and taste of vegetarian dishes were not at the same level as the non-veg selections. Given that many Indian guests stay here, we would really appreciate it if the resort could consider adding 2–3 Indian-style vegetarian dishes with authentic flavor. It would make a big difference for guests like us. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and felt very comfortable and welcomed. Just a small suggestion for improvement on the vegetarian food front would make it a perfect 5-star experience.
In my opinion not worth 5* Rooms are too basic, no bathrobes, no makeup mirror, no body lotion (not even in a big dispenser), no after-shampoo in the bathroom. The only positive in the room are the large quantity of hangers. The gardens are immaculate! The water in the swimming pools have a good temperature especially for smaller children. The beach was full of rubbish, however cleaned on a "regular basis". Quality of food is good and fresh, however choice restricted. The Japanese restaurant was a big disappointment, compared to the one at Riu Palace 5* in Boa Vista.
I just need to tell some things because it’s the first time happen… People in the reception not happy to work not some and it’s very rude to us and not try to understand what we saying. And the talking about you on the back. The entertainment they are very racist because o was with my family for a week the pass through close to us we say “hi” all the time and they not replay. It’s not nice for the hotel to have this kind off people. We are the first to tell this. Probably the manager needs to check this. For me this hotel not come back again! My friends not coming as well because of the type off people. Thanks.
