Hotel Rosa Beach is great – for an affordable arrangement, it’s absolutely perfect. The waiters are more than professional – there are around 10 to 15 of them per shift and they really do their best to serve every guest. They are very kind and give you as much attention as they possibly can. The problem arises with people who came expecting a 5-star hotel and think that staff should fly to them. The food is great – pizza, pasta, chicken, lamb... every day there’s something new. There’s also an à la carte restaurant offering Italian, Mexican, and Tunisian cuisine. As part of the package, you’re entitled to one à la carte meal, which is totally fine. The beach is sandy, with a somewhat shallow entry. Being the Mediterranean Sea, there are occasional waves and sometimes small jellyfish. The rooms are more than okay – housekeeping cleans daily, replaces four fresh towels, and bed linen is changed regularly. The animation team is excellent – football, basketball, water polo, mini-disco, dancing, fire shows, etc. The pool is huge, filled with salt water, regularly maintained, cleaned, and checked for chlorine and pH levels. There’s also a separate small pool for kids with small slides. Showers for rinsing are available by the beach. All in all – more than okay, definitely worth it.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The interior of the hotel needs a lot of fixing. The outdoor view is beautiful. There were wrong information on travel website and their own website where we were given a room that did not hold a bin, mini fridge. No instructions to use a safe and needed a key to use it. I had issues with my room door closing and someone had to come out and fix it. You have to use the shower by holding down the button the whole time. Good AC. Nice balcony size. Average food and drinks. The plates were dirty. They do not offer snack bar, there is one on site but you need to pay for it privately it is not part of the all Inclusive package. No Information pack given on the timings of the restaurant buffet, we walked around the hotel and found out. They do not have WiFi in the rooms, it is only in reception.
I stayed in this hotel and I don’t understand how it has 4 stars. It should be 3 stars or even less. Yes, it’s a big hotel, and it’s close to both the airport and Monastir city, which is good. The reception area is large and nice, the pools are okay, the staff are friendly, and the food is very tasty. But the rest of the hotel is terrible. My room was dirty, with mold, stains everywhere, and a bad smell. The bed was itchy, most of the lights didn’t work, the toilet door was broken, and the toilet itself was moldy and disgusting. Even the public toilets on the first floor were in bad condition. They looked new and modern, but the lights were broken and the doors didn’t close properly. How can anyone use them? The WiFi doesn’t work in the rooms, only in the reception and near the pool. I was really disappointed. I waited for my vacation to end. I feel like I wasted my money on this reservation. I saw that they are doing some repairs, so maybe the hotel will improve in the future. But for now, it’s not worth the high price. Will I come back? Most likely not.
