Hotel Rumbao a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Our check in process was amazing, and the staff member who was operating the desk last night was amazing. My wife and I, as well as the couple who were on their honeymoon mentioned how amazing she was after check in. Our comment from our friends was: “Now THAT is a real Marriott!” We very much enjoyed our room and everything about it. The property has a wonderful classy old time feel and charm to it. The on site dining options were amazing. The live band was great. David our waiter was extremely friendly and outgoing and the food was delicious. Everyone in our group was very tired, but had plans to go to a nearby restaurant. The coupons and the live music kept us on property and enhanced our overall experience at the property, and our entire trip to Puerto Rico.

Great place to stay. Incredible location and right in the heart of historical area. Very convenient for the ferry as well. Service is generally good. Sarah at front desk is exceptional, very warm and welcoming. We had hot water issues and some issues using welcome drinks and she worked through them for us. The restaurant Kueros has pretty good food but cleanliness probably a 7/10. Dishes are not clean. Good value for money especially if you are Marriott loyalty member.

By far the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel. The level of discrimination was glaring. We booked this hotel as it was close to the cruise terminal. Our family’s intention was to spend a few days after our cruise to decompress. We did not expect to be greeted with disrespect from the check in attendant who was very rude and evidently judged us by our attire. For goodness sake we are on vacation!!! We are professionals who chose to be relaxed on our vacation. When we voiced our displeasure with the way we were treated we were dismissed by one of the check in attendants. We ended up booking another hotel because we did not feel safe here. We travel a lot and would certainly be flagging this hotel with our friends and associates. Hope they check up on their customer service because you never know who you are judging based on the way they are dressed. This entire experience had me shaken and my teenagers in tears. Never again!!!!
