Hotel Slunce

Old school hotel, everything is in good working order but it's too old for my liking, some of the corridors are borderline spooky. I'd stay again if I have to return.

This is clearly the fanciest stay in Uherske Hradiste, yet it gives very odd vibes. Placed just on the corner of the main square, location can't get better than this, if not for the staff. As I booked a 4* hotel with the reception service, I expected to see some people checking me in or out, but the reception was always empty, I needed to call a "hot line" for somebody to come over (so not the best solution if you don't have a Czech phone number - and there was no info about it beforehand). I was welcomed with barely any information at all, no password for wifi, no info about check out, nothing. It is only at the check out that I found out that I had breakfast included - well, thank you very much, customer service on point. I feel like I was alone at the hotel (it was Monday), so they just didn't care. Also, for some reason my id was photocopied (I have a Czech ID) - I haven't encountered anything like this in a very long time!

Quite good hotel in this area having sort of authenticity or smell of vintage thing. Friendly and kind staffs welcome guests. Located in the city center.
