Excellent location, fantastic service. The villas are gorgeous, and the view is spectacular. The area is quiet and secluded. The villas are well made, with air conditioning, hot water, comfortable beds, nespresso machines, and a well stocked mini fridge. The staff is friendly and well prepared. I highly recommend this Tahiti.
Well. I’m somewhere between 3.5-4 stars. The views are amazing. The chill you have in the hotel is fantastic. The food is very good, as long as the staff remembers what did you order (small mistakes happened few times, e.g. rare steak, which was delivered well done). Things I didn’t like: - you CAN’T close the villa. The staff claims it’s safe around, so they don’t provide keys to the rooms. (WHAT???!!!) - water in rooms in the shower, sink or toilet was extremely dirty - yellow/brown color. Having a shower was pretty disgusting. - last 10 kilometers to get there takes around an hour. The road is terrible. Rocks, mud, huge holes. Our taxi almost got stuck twice. They could think about having staff that speaks english or have menu in english; to make it easier for international tourists. But nowadays it’s not so big deal (as long as wifi works, or you can get signal). Price to value is very good though and their negroni is worth of trying :-)
Please read as there are many other listing food poisoning. The views from villa 6 are quite amazing. The villas and common area of the bar and restaurant are very beautiful. We ordered the octopus and tuna tataki and ended up throwing up all night. We tried reaching out to front desk with no luck and no water to hydrate after having to drink all the water in the minibar. My partner found the courage to walk to reception at 2am looking for help and no one was there. She knocked on the staff door and no one opened. To our surprise, we mentioned it the next morning and they said ‘we heard the knocking but we were afraid to answer’ what?! What kind of answer is that. At check out, the girl assisting us did not want accept that the food caused our poisoning until another guest approached us to state exactly the same. Food poising from the salmon. There was no help until 730am. It was a horrendous night! There is no drinkable water and it is not mentioned at any time during booking. Make sure to bring water or be prepared to pay for it every time you need to hydrate. There are bed bugs and the villa was not clean. We went to reception to mention the bug bites and the girl knew exactly what we were talking about and acted like it was a normal occurrence. She even showed us the bugs that might have caused the bites. Kind of funny in a way! We were excited and eager to try the place but sadly we won’t be coming back! Don’t even get me started on how slow and disorganized service was. Except for Gabriel, he seemed to know what his job was. Kudos to you Gabriel.
