Hotel Vila Aleksander

Lovely hotel, great location- a little hard to find but worth it. The service was welcoming and very helpful with suggestions of restaurants and things to see and do. Breakfast on the terrace and drinks in the afternoon. Parking is a little bit of an issue but thats travelling for you. We had such a nice stay and highly recommend. I have to give 5 stars here - no doubts! The owners are amazing helpful and very kind people. The hotel itself is placed on the hill side with a balcony over the beautiful coty of Berat. The hotel is maintained in the way to match local architecture, rooms have been maintained and are nice and tidy - equipped in everything you may need. In my case, parking spot for a car was an issue, but the owner took an action to discuss it with local hotels and arranged a spot for me. Breakfast was simple and tasty! Homemade pancakes and cake with vegetables and eggs from hotel’s garden! Breakfast is on a balkony with view on the town! ❤️ Highly recommended!

They say there is parking places in the street on booking.com but there are no parking place in the street. The owner claimed a place on the street and showed us this place to park. But he charged us 10 euros each day for this street parking. There are other hotels with free parking places. The owner also pushes you to pay in cash even he has pos device. You have to push hard to pay with credit card. Our room had no view and proper shower. When we complained about the room, owner offered us another good one with extra charge, which we refused. Normally you can find free water in the hotel rooms but this hotel does not give you any water. They sell each bottle for 300 leks. The breakfast was very poor regarding cheese and eggs. They give you lots of carbohydrates such as pancakes, cake and fruits. The only good part of this hotel is its terrace view but I do not recommend you this hotel.
