Villa Traiano in Benevento is perfectly located beside the stunning Arch of Trajan. The hotel blends historic charm with modern comfort, offering good service and nice rooms at a great value. The rooftop terrace is a great spot to relax while enjoying panoramic views of Benevento’s landscape and some of its ancient architecture.
One usually rates a property on the basis of quality of room, service, price etc. But we had quite the emergency with my wife breaking her foot on the first evening! The staff were absolutely brilliant in organising a doctor to come and examine her in the room, and then really helpful throughout the week with her incapacity. To me that is the hallmark of a great hotel - NOT just how they are when things are going well, but how they respond when you have a disaster. They were all brilliant - from the manager downwards - really friendly, helpful and understanding. I cannot thank them enough for making our stay as comfortable as it could be despite the circumstances. And I have used this hotel in the past, when everything has been fine, and it is a great hotel to stay at for either holiday or business. Perfect location for exploring Benevento.
