Hotell Fjället

A lovely place to stay. Staff were generally helpful and welcoming. The room was compact, but comfortable, located in the main building. The bathroom was quite small. We did not stay to ski, or use any of the other sporting facilities, but the hotel was a good base in the area, and reasonably priced. A car is essential for getting around and because not all local tours pick up from the hotel itself. The drive up was a steep road, but even in winter it was clear of snow and not too challenging. Breakfast was extremely good, lots of variety and taken in the restaurant with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. The restaurant also did good evening meals, and there were lighter, cheaper options available from the bar. The prices were reasonable given that there aren't many other options nearby. There was a nice sauna, that wasn't busy during the day. Recommended for a pleasant stay.

Just wonderful. Staff is helpful, fun, and friendly. Food is surprisingly good for an out of the way location. Not luxury hotel but they have every thing you need to relax, ski and see the northern lights. Looking forward to visiting again!

I have spent many nights in this venerable mountain resort over the past 50 years. This time we only stopped for coffee during our roadtrip around northern Scandinavia during the month of July 2025. The view towards Lapporten and over Torne Träsk is magnificent.
