Howard Beach Resort Kenting

The place looks a little old, but it didn't affect me that much. The room was nice and spacious, and the staff cleaned our room every day. I took the high-speed train to Kaohsiung High-Speed Train Station and later the hotel bus, which was very convenient. The pool was nice too. I've seen a lot of comments that they don't have heating in the pool, but because of the hot weather here, it didn't bother me. The tunnel to the beach was also very convenient, and the chairs were not free but cost only 300 TWD for five chairs or 500 TWD for a couple of lounge chairs. The beach wasn't as crowded as the other main beach in Kenting. Something that I found somewhat disturbing was that the deer were locked up in cages behind the pool area.

I wanted to give you a 5-star review. Amazing pool (way better than Caesar Park), clean rooms, incredible facilities, beach and restaurants. Everything was perfect until check-out. You made me wait 22 minutes in check-out line. Why?? Why do people need to “check out”. Leave keys in room and leave. That should be it. I don’t need a paper invoice. Waste of paper for environment and waste of time. People should leave the property in a good mood. You make them leave angry. So many other customers had my same feeling. Email the receipt. It’s 2025.

We stayed for a night in pet friendly room and the staff on the entrance was lacking professional service and lead us to the wrong way with heavy luggage didn’t even tried to help carrying it. After walking to the room one lady was shouting in our bathroom with another staff on the corridor saying there’s no hot water. Both of them just shouting back and forth and we just stood there no idea what’s going on :) what a warm welcome first second in the hotel ! The interior of the room is like extremely ugly design with a weird dogs and rabbit stickers on the wall. Then about 6pm outside the room started a concert kind of thing with loud unpleasant noise can’t even rest in the room. I feel so stressed and frustrated staying in the room. Overall I would NOT recommend this hotel not only for the price, the service and the living experience.
