Beautiful and old hotel, great location and security, well-behaved and professional staff, excellent food quality, only 2 drawbacks: no elevator and staff's poor command of English.

I recently stayed at this hotel for two days and left feeling quite satisfied overall. The highlight of my experience was the charming colonial ambiance, which added a unique touch to my stay. I also appreciated the on-site restaurant and café area, making it convenient to enjoy meals without having to venture far. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere that made me feel right at home. However, I did encounter a couple of issues during my visit. I had paid for an upgrade to a room featuring a large corner tub, but when I began filling it, I noticed the water was yellowish. This was disappointing, and I ultimately decided not to use the tub at all. Additionally, the carpet in my room seemed quite old and contributed to my allergies acting up during my stay. While the hotel's interior felt safe and inviting, I did have some concerns about the surrounding area, which seemed a bit sketchy. I also faced a minor disappointment when I tried to enjoy the breakfast buffet a few minutes before it closed at 10 AM. Despite the fact that there was still food available, my request to pay for brunch was denied. I didn’t get a chance to enjoy the indoor pool, as I didn’t have a bikini with me during my stay. I inquired at the front desk about whether there was a shop in the hotel where I could purchase one, but unfortunately, there were none available. Overall, while there were a few drawbacks, my stay was still enjoyable, largely thanks to the friendly staff and the hotel’s charming atmosphere.

Moderately satisfactory stay. - warm welcome and very professional staff - old-fashioned room with sanitary facilities that seem to have aged and are poorly maintained, the hot water did not work, nor did the air conditioning - we were given an upgrade to a better room with a spa bath 🙂 - unfortunately the rooms at the higher price are all carpeted 😬 poorly maintained carpet can quickly become a favourite place for dust mites, I had allergies after a few days - hot water worked well this time, only it was yellow so no way to enjoy the bath - very mixed feelings about the catering, I had a piece of iron straw in my dish, the manager made a commercial gesture behind it but that doesn't excuse so little rigour in the hygiene of your dishes! - very disappointed that children are not allowed in the swimming pool, whereas the Louvre next door lets even babies use the jacuzzi Overall, the hotel is still interesting but has aged, the value for money is no longer there while the competition is tough.
