InterContinental Edinburgh The George by IHG

Did a lot of research before booking to find a good hotel near the things we wanted to see and do. The hotel is great, and the staff phenomenal. Our room was elegant, clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities you would expect. The service was impeccable, we had a very minor issue with the bathroom fan, we mentioned it to the front desk and it was fixed immediately. All the main places to see were within walking distances and it was very close to the hop on hope off busses which is convenient. I highly recommend choosing this hotel for you stay in Edinburgh.

The George was a wonderful hotel. In my opinion the complimentary breakfast buffet was top tier, with many American and Scottish food staples. The front desk and wait staff were incredibly helpful and timely, except for when we ordered things to our room, like silverware, that took a little longer than expected. Otherwise everything was above and beyond. There's a cafe and restaurant attached, both are quaint and delicious. The rooms are lovely, lots of space and storage, but I do wish there were mini fridges included.

It has been an amazing stay at this hotel. Everything within the rooms is complimentary which is absolutely amazing. The breakfasts is always delicious and stays consistent everyday from what I’ve noticed. My favorite part has been the service, the employees are always so kind and always have a smile on their face. They are always willing to help you no matter what it is. We met David who is one of the employees who manages the front of the hotel and helps carry luggage up to the room for you. He was the star of the hotel and every time we saw him he would light up our world. You will see familiar faces of staff working and they will remember who you are which is absolutely fantastic.
