InterContinental Phoenicia Beirut by IHG

I recently stayed at the Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean, offering a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the views over the sea and city were stunning, especially at sunset. The food was another highlight, whether dining at the breakfast buffet or enjoying a meal at one of the hotel’s restaurants, every dish was flavorful and of the highest quality. The variety and freshness were impressive, and the service at each meal was attentive and professional. Speaking of service, the staff truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. From the front desk to housekeeping, everyone was warm, welcoming, and eager to assist with any request. Their professionalism and hospitality made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. Lastly, the location of the Phoenicia is unbeatable. Situated just a short walk from Zaituna Bay, downtown Beirut, and key cultural attractions, it’s the perfect base for exploring the city. Despite being centrally located, the hotel feels like a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. Overall, I highly recommend Phoenicia Hotel to anyone visiting Beirut, it’s a perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and authentic Lebanese hospitality.

A fantastic stay at Phoenicia! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast delicious with a great variety. Perfect location – close to Down Town yet peaceful. I’ll definitely be back

One of the Worst Hotel Stays We’ve Ever Experienced We travel extensively and stay in hotels all over the world, but this property was by far the most disappointing. Air conditioning: Not working, allegedly got fixed but still wasn't working! Bed sheets: Damp upon arrival, had to be changed and the new ones were still damp!! Shower: Non-functional, and when an engineer came to fix it, it was left dirty and unhygienic. Lighting: Several lights could not be turned off. We slept with lights on all night. Mold smelling carpets and furniture. We gave management a detailed, in-person review before leaving and were promised a follow-up call — no one ever called. This shows a complete lack of care for guest satisfaction. Sadly, the hotel failed on both basic comfort and customer service. I would not recommend staying here until serious improvements are made.
