Went to the spa today and it's ok for the price. It's small, clean and perfectly functional except if you get too many people there at once. There's only one hair dryer and two showers/ changing rooms and limited seating. The spa is open plan so it can get very loud with a large group. You will also struggle to access space in the jacuzzi.
The location is, without a doubt, the main positive point of Hotel Kandahar. Being right next to the slopes makes logistics much easier for those going skiing. However, our experience at the hotel was very disappointing and did not meet the expectations of a 4-star hotel. The overall atmosphere is outdated, with rooms and common areas in need of renovation. The staff, in general, were unfriendly and distant, creating a cold and unwelcoming environment. Moreover, they showed little patience or skill in dealing with children, which contradicts the hotel’s advertised claims. As for meals, the breakfast was poor and lacked variety. Dinner was along the same lines: tasteless food of questionable quality. We even had a situation where someone in our group felt unwell after eating spoiled food — something unacceptable in any hotel. In summary, the good location does not make up for the hostile atmosphere, poor service, bad food, and lack of preparation to welcome families with children. We do not recommend to big groups and with families with kids.
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Hotel Kandahar in Andorra. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations, and there are several aspects that I find unacceptable for a hotel of this category. First and foremost, the behavior of the manager was completely inappropriate. She displayed a shocking lack of professionalism and courtesy, both in her interactions with guests and with her own staff. Her rude and disrespectful communication left a terrible impression and is something that urgently needs improvement. On a positive note, I would like to acknowledge the hotel staff, who were very helpful and did their best to make up for the evident shortcomings in management and infrastructure. Regarding the facilities, the hotel is extremely outdated, with poor taste in decor and an overall ambiance that resembles a one-star establishment rather than a quality hotel. The experience was far from what one would expect in terms of comfort and modernity. The dining experience was another major disappointment. The food was poorly prepared, with some dishes, such as the steak, being served raw. The overall quality of the meals was far below acceptable standards, making it yet another reason for my dissatisfaction. Given all these issues, I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone. I hope this complaint is taken seriously and that significant improvements are made, particularly in management and service quality.
