Khwan Beach Resort Luxury Glamping and Pool Villas Samui Adults Only SHA Extra Plus

Truthfully stunning villas and facilities! Not completely beachfront, as you have to walk a little to the beach (2 minutes), but that honestly doesn’t matter because the style and uniqueness of the resort made up for it. Both ladies at the reception were way too nice, even gifted a free bath salt for extra relaxation. Big swimming pool in the middle of it and beautiful architecture to the tiniest details, felt like you’re in a hidden gem somewhere in Bali! It may take some time until the room gets cold with AC, as it is a tented glamping, but this place is worth experiencing for a change of feel and scenery. Just make sure you keep your bathroom doors closed at night (it is outdoor) to avoid insects disturbance.

Glamping style hotel at Mae Nam Beach (2 minute walk). We stayed in the tents which have an outdoor bathroom and shower/bathtub. You have your own small garden with lounges and a couch swing. The tents are spacious enough for two people and have nice details. There is an air condition in the tent. The curtains around the bed don’t fully close, so they are no use for protection against mosquitoes and there a quite a few of them in the tent. The hotel provides bug spray daily. A highlight of the hotel is the pool which is quite nice and clean, but has sharp walls, because its walls are plastered with sand. I cut myself on the walls. Biggest disappointment are the sheets for the sun loungers at the pool. They get soggy when it rains and they don’t really dry, so they mold. For the price you pay not acceptable. The bar at/in the pool was never open in our 6 days we spent at the resort. Overall it was a good experience, but here and there the small details were missing.

Friendly welcome, service at the bar for lunch and dinner was fantastic. The pool is beautiful and the rooms are really stunning- gorgeous design, silk sheets, dressing gown and water provided. The outdoor bathroom (half covered) was very cool, I had a bath whilst it was raining and it was incredible. Something to consider if you’re staying- it is in a tent, and although you don’t feel like you’re in a tent, you and hear EVERYTHING. When I arrived the people next door were having sex, the frogs were so loud all night, and there was a very loud band playing next door in to the early hours. I’m a light sleeper and so got no sleep which wasn’t ideal when I had to get up early to catch a flight and travel for 18 hours. If you’re a light sleeper or have a flight to catch the next day, this isn’t the place for you.
