We stayed for one night and service was superb. My wife forgot her toothbrush and as soon as we notified the hotel they delivered it to us within 2 hours.besides this, the food was exceptional compared to other hotels we stayed in the same price range $500+ usd per night
An exclusive onsen that welcomed us (family of four with two teenagers) with open arms. Traditional rooms with westernized twist. Lovely onsen divided in two sections that alternated between male and female. Breakfast is either Japanese or Western style. Japanese course meal in the evenings. Can definitely recommend the teppanyaki option when available. Impeccable service. Helps to know basic Japanese but Google Translate is your friend. We did some exploring on foot up and down the river during the days.
The website only makes a passing mention of this, but they provide course-meal breakfast and dinners (dinners are michellin star quality IMO, with option to pair drinks). Note: I am not sure if this is for all guests, or only for certain types of reservations. And, as other guests have already noted, the service is top notch, even for Japan.
