Koh Rong Hill Beach Resort

Our stay was exceptional. We were assigned a beach-view room that offered stunning vistas. Before our visit, we had the pleasure of interacting with Mr. Kolab Heng, the Operations Manager, who was exceptionally helpful in providing information about the ferry services and entrance to the resort. The hotel boasts its own ferry pier, facilitating convenient access. The staff demonstrated outstanding professionalism and hospitality. Notably, during our stay, the team hosted a staff party and graciously invited guests to participate, exemplifying their warm and welcoming attitude. The resort's pool area features a bar, providing an ideal setting to enjoy a sunset with a refreshing drink and music. The breakfast offerings were excellent, and we also dined on lunch at the restaurant, which was equally enjoyable. The only minor drawback was the presence of centipedes in the toilets, likely due to the proximity to the surrounding forest. Overall, our experience was memorable, and we look forward to returning in the future.

Cannot comment on the resort itself but the restaurant food was very nice although a little more expensive than the rest of the island. We had the fish amok, fried vegetables and the crispy prawn. The amok was the highlight and the best I’ve had in Cambodia with fresh fish and fragrant herbs and spices. The vegetables were a nice mix of fresh veges with a yummy soy and oyster based sauce and the prawns were a really good portion.

Lovely place to stay, basic and honest. Located directly at the start of the beach, with a number of chilled beachside bars and restaurants along the beachfront. The water pressure and hot water in the rooms was slightly underwhelming but not the end of the world. The rooms were spacious and well looked after with a team on-hand to help. Recommended to stay here for a few days if you are looking to just to chill and unwind with no stress.
