La Benata Beach Hotel

Not worth 5* Firstly, do not get fooled by the nice interior and the reception hall- it gives a false first impression. Reception staff was not welcoming at all. It looked like they are suffering working this job. As soon as we entered our room, you can tell that it was not properly cleaned- the bin was not empty, had some plastic bits from previous people, shower and bathroom was not cleaned, were there some stones from the beach, left by previous people, also used shower gel bottle. We left a tip few times, but it didn’t make any difference, the staff only took out the bin, mini bar wasn’t refilled everyday (as it was promised). Basically, none of the basic maintenance stuff wasn’t done with tip or without it. Alcohol impossible to drink- one option beer, which was a bit more decent. Ice cream -for such a big amount of guests was only served for one hour. Despite that some of the bar staff was nice :) Food- same stuff everyday and sometimes the main course (meats and stuff) were finished not even in the middle of the lunch, so instead of proper food, chicken nuggets were served. First time in a hotel where adults get chicken nuggets as for a main meal option, because the kebab meat was finished in a middle of a lunch service. I don’t eat nuggets at home on a daily, not talking about the holiday. If you are looking for a holiday were you want to eat good food, drink and relax it is not a place, because drinks are undrinkable, food limited. I give 3* the most only for a decent hotel appearance.

Poor service and cleanliness. Staff were rude or inattentive, especially at the food stand, and rooms weren’t cleaned properly all week. Minibar wasn’t restocked, essentials like soap were missing, and trash was left untouched. AC didn’t work, so we cleaned it ourselves. Food was repetitive and disappointing — mostly chicken, bland desserts. Beach is rocky and uncomfortable without special shoes, with no music or atmosphere. Not enough seating in the restaurant and few activities for kids. The spa smelled bad, and the salon was overpriced and misleading. Only a few staff members were friendly, like the lifeguard Mehmed and one waiter Uğur, the lady making gozleme was very rude. Management only improved service after complaints. Would not return.

Overall awful experiment. Food is almost the same every day, cocktails are undrinkable. The staff is incredibly nonchalant. They do not clean the room, do not fill the minibar after multiple complaints at the reception. The toilet was not function properly. (no water in the tank) the reception was annoyed with us noticing them about the toilet four times! Sorry, its a need not some luxorious extra. There was two lovely staff member who was kind and made our feel welcomed, thank you for them! Otherwise we do not recommend this hotel with a good heart.
