Lanta Sport Resort

This really was the most horrible accomodation experiance we`ve had in Thailand. You feel like in a prison when you enter the bathroom. Not to mention the cleanliness and the overall state of the room, which was not cleaned once. Not talking about the cockroaches, like I understand that you are in Asia.. but come on.. I mean, just pay a bit more and run away from this place.

I cannot express how bad this place is. So different from the pictures you see online, we started to have a bad feeling about it when we saw the actual road leading to the place. The resort is so out of date, badly kept, it looks like an abandoned building. Pu, the person who welcomed us and showed us the room, was the only good thing about this place, as she was incredibly nice. The room was old and smelt badly. The glass doors had huge gaps, which is even more concerning as you’d get cockroaches and mosquitoes at night. As soon as we arrived, we started to look for another place and moved within an hour. Please avoid and don’t trust the reviews on Airb&b.

The star goes to Kasmina who is the only person here who does her job. Thanks to her. For the rest, it's a scandal. The cleaning ladies don't do their job properly. I had to come to the reception 3 times to get toilet paper. I had to buy it 2 times. I had to come to the reception to refill the shampoo. They only come to clean when you are not there, so if you are in the room, no cleaning. The last few days, we didn't have cleaning, probably because we were leaving (which is not valid), so the trash cans were overflowing and cockroaches arrived. I went to the reception to ask for the trash to be emptied, the cleaning lady didn't care and left. In addition, hotel guests warned us that the cleaning ladies steal money from the rooms. A few days later, my bank account was hacked (someone used my credit card codes. My card was in my hotel room. I have no proof but this has never happened to me before). The Muay Thai next to the hotel is of a very poor level. The trainners do not know how to hold the pads and are not professionals. If you want to improve your level, this is not the place to do it. The hotel is not maintained, a piece of concrete from the balcony above ours fell. Luckily we were not under it. The pool is not always clean (no continuous filtration) and the last 2 days it was half full (dangerous if you jump in without paying attention). Very disappointed. We will never come back.
