This is a poorly maintained hotel that has clearly seen better days. The physical property is beautiful and the pool is clean but that's about it. We had to take dirty towels down to the front desk to get them replaced as housekeeping is minimal (they don't change sheets). They also don't provide towels for the pool. The room had a musty smell and the bathroom lacked soap and shampoo. The shower door barely closed and water drainage in the shower was poor. The sink leaked and the water smelled weird and had a salty taste. The towels and our 'cleaned' laundry smelled like lighter fuel. Also, I counted at least 3 dogs (two of them appeared sick and almost mangy) and probably 4-5 cats in the property so if a guest is allergic to dogs and cats, this hotel is not for them. Breakfast was ok and was the same everyday. Reception staff weren't particularly helpful. The property clearly needs better management oversight and cleaning.

Worst experience ever. Nasty hotel. Old infrastructure and poorly maintained. Breakfast buffet had dirty dishes. Had to check 6 bowls before I found a proper one to pour cereals in. Eventually i ended up not eating anything because nothing looked nice: Spongy bread. A grey(!!) omelet. Like… how even? The juice was so diluted with water you could hardly call it juice. Our room smelled like mold which they tried to cover up with a gross amount of perfumed detergent. The source of that smell: a leak in the ceiling which they covered with solid tape. The bathroom was overall dirty. Moldy tiles and silicone in between. I did not feel comfortable going to bed. Once we decided to try to have some sleep, we discovered that the sheets had stains and random dark hair which couldn’t be my blond boyfriends nor my afrotextured hair. When we confronted the personel they said they ‘understood our grieveances’. Basically admitting to their malpractice. We asked for a refund but were met with the option to ‘get another room’. We did not accept this because the whole hotel was so gross and werent sure what ‘better’ meant in this instance. Long story short: do not go there. It’s a total ripoff. Unless you have a very low standard. Money shouldnt be an argument because there’s at least 3 better hotels for similar pricing on walking distance. I repeat: do not go there!!

Possibly the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The lack of professionalism speaks volumes. The owner decided to tell us they over booked the place 2 hours after waiting patiently to check in by the pool. By 3pm they tell us that our room had some issues and that we were gonna be given an apartment instead with two bedroom and wifi and hot water. We arrive at this apartment that is a shared with 4 other rooms and people and the rooms look like a small dark hole. To make matters even worse there was no hot water. We return back to the hotel to explain all these inconveniences. And the owner responses with telling us that he knew the previous night about the situation but rather then letting us know the previous night so we can plan accordingly he thought giving us a shared apartment with no hot water as a better alternative. Mind you he apparently also owns these apartments and just didn’t want to lose any money. We ask for a better solution since it was the hotels fault for not communicating and providing us with the room we had already paid for. He continues to taunt us and tell us that San Andres is full full and that there’s not many solutions. He then told us to just take the money back and leave and that’s what we did. We left at 4:30 after 3 hours waiting for a room to go look for another room. Oh also this hotels jacuzzi is not even hot. All a big joke just like the owner.
