Le Riviera Hôtel Restaurant & Spa Ex Golden Tulip Aix les bains

This hotel was very nice in a non touristy area in the French Alps. The rooms are big and clean. They offer different rooms with spa access or not. Although one of the rooms we stayed at had a spa access, but we didn’t use it, so I can’t comment on the spa. The hotel was fully booked the 4 nights we were there. The hotel is walking distance to pubs, casino and restaurants, so parking could be challenging including the hotel’s self parking, hotel’s underground parking and the public parking spaces close to it. The hotel is walking distance to the train station.

Aix's one of the best hotel with spa/pool/jacuzzi/sauna access and thermal spa - la parenthèse (spa treatments). clean and comfortable room yet quiet and private. powder room separated from shower without bathtub, coffee machine, TV and wireless speaker, free and fast WiFi. sparkling/still water dispenser. Golden Tulip hotel ,located next to Loges du park and casino, was modern and relaxing. welcoming reception were all really helpful and informative. short walk to town centre, fresh market. Victoria car park nearby free after 8pm overnight till 7am.

It's expensive for what it is! The room is spacious and the bathroom is very nice and modern. The food in the restaurant is so so...the fish was bland and I didn't quite understand the appetizer which looked like that it has been purchased ready to eat. It didn't look like it was made in the kitchen. I also had their lunch buffet and again it was so so. They have amazing selection of cheese,many choice of salads. Again chicken in a curry sauce had no flavor whatsoever..it takes a special effort to cook something that tastes like nothing!!! No seasoning whatsoever. So overall, I wouldn't eat at their restaurant. The buffet breakfast is alright. Many choices of cakes and very little variety of fruits breads eggs !!!
