For sure one of the best Hotels in Luxembourg City! Traditional, elegant with all comfort incl spa, pool. A private Transfer from / to the airport. Plentiful breakfast and super attentive, professional and friendly staff. Reception, Concierge, Front Office Manager, F&B! I love this hotel!

Choosing Le Royal over Sofitel turned out to be an excellent decision. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by the charm of European hospitality. The hotel’s central location made it an ideal base for exploring the area. The staff at Le Royal were exceptionally pleasant and accommodating, ensuring our every need was met with a smile. One evening we were in the lobby listening to the live piano and my wife wanted a drink that wasn’t in the menu. The bartender googled the recipe and made the drink for her. A highlight of our stay was the buffet breakfast included in our rate. The spread was abundant, featuring an impressive selection of fresh fruits and baked goods that were nothing short of amazing. Le Royal truly exceeded our expectations, providing a welcoming and memorable experience. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking comfort, convenience, and a touch of elegance.

Not sure why this is a five star hotel, yes, the staff are charming and helpful and yes, it has a great location but the room I had was no better than many four star hotels I’ve stayed in. Perfectly comfortable but not plush or deluxe in any way. The shower over the bath was difficult to use as the bath narrowed at that point and standing was awkward and there was limescale build up around the screen joint where water leaked. The swimming pool was nice though the decor style looked like it was last done in the 1980’s - all well maintained and clean but it certainly didn’t say five star. There seem to be few hotels so close to the old town but I wouldn’t pay the over £200 a night to stay here in the future.
